Required Qualifications
Mechanical background – either engineer or technician, diploma or degree
Courses completed in ISO9001
Experience
Minimum 8 years’ experience in Quality, 2 of which much be in a managerial position
Experience in mineral processing environment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES AND OUTPUTS

Area

Familiarise oneself with client and project quality requirements.
Participate in all critical analysis meetings and generate critical action plans.
Prepare, co-ordinate and obtain approval of procured items quality operating plans.
Liaise with clients, suppliers and contractors on quality matters.
Control change and audit the implementation of project quality plans.
Prepare and control project quality plans.
Develop and manage quality documentation from FEL1 to FEL3
Prepare quality status reports.
Provide input and prepare project-specific procedures.
Prepare project close-out reports in regard to quality.
Plan, schedule and execute project quality audits.
Execute supplier evaluations as required.
Prepare QA requirements for orders and subcontracts within the project quality strategy.
Review and evaluate quality performance (internal, site and supplier) and initiate corrective action.
Identify and investigate specific quality problems as and when required.
Execute Supplier evaluations.
Advise and inform project staff on quality related matters
